Changes for Purchasing Savings Bonds

Effective January 1, 2012, paper savings bonds will no longer be available for purchase at any financial institution. This action is part of the Treasury's all-electronic initiative. You'll still be able to purchase Series EE and I bonds, but they must now be purchased through TreasuryDirect®, a secure, web-based system.
