A shred of advice

It's time to face your biggest fear--assuming that fear involves sorting through your old receipts, statements and documents. It's intimidating, time consuming and who really knows what to throw out and what to keep? Don't get overwhelmed, because we're here to help. It's time to attack this head on and shred all of those unnecessary documents once and for all.

1-3 months: Sales and ATM receipts can be discarded in this time. Toss sales receipts after the warranty expires or you are no longer able to return or exchange the item.

Streamline with eStatements

Are your files overflowing with monthly bank statements? It might be time to consider an easier, more secure way to keep track of your account, like with eStatements.

With eStatements you’ll still get the same information you’re used to getting with your paper statement--a copy of the newsletter and any important notices. The information you get won’t change, just its delivery. When a statement is ready, you’ll receive a notification by email. When you want to look at your statement, just log in to Online Banking, click the Additional Services tab, and select eStatements from the menu.

Same rates. Simple.

As early as January 27, you could start seeing a new retailer surcharge, or “checkout fee,” when you use your credit card to buy goods and services. A recent court settlement between retailers and the payments industry allows retailers to pass their credit card acceptance costs on to consumers in the form of a new fee. Not all merchants will charge this fee—it’s up to individual business owners. Read more
